Good evening all, Just wanted to say HI and have Shasta's day written down so that when FDMB comes back up, I can transfer all this back to the mothership! She was doing pretty well this morning and when I got home, she was sooooo sweet. Head butts, talking, laying in the Mannie beams, but mostly talking and trying to herd me into the kitchen to fix her dinner! After dinner...totally different story. She has hidden herself in her carrier and after a few brief appearances for food, she won't come out. Technically, all Ps are present today. I emailed my vet to ask if they had anything that I could give her to "chill her out" before driving her to the vet's office...sleepy pills, anti-psychotic, cat xanax?! All the while, remembering that she has a heart condition. I really would like blood drawn and a full blood workup done on her. No response from vet, yet. OT: I have an icky tooth (or two) that just started up last night. The dentist I go to is out this week (of course!) and I start back to work next Wednesday. If this is a root canal thing...I'm gonna be really pissed. Why didn't this happen at the beginning of the summer...when I had all the time in the world to get it taken care of?! Hope everyone is ok. Sending healing vines for Jupiter & Loki and comfort vines to Carl and Bob. Blessings, Deborah & Shasta AMPS=338 +2.5=198 +3.5=188 +5=181 PMPS=205 +2=198 +4=97 +4.5=93 +5.5=78 +6.5=101 Poo/Pee tallyPee- 3 Poo - 1 (good size)

Looks like Shasta is on a mission tonight too! A 101 point drop in 2 hrs for Shasta, and 110 in 3 hours for China!
Of course Real Life never happens on our schedule, does it? Doesn't your dentist have someone covering him/her that could either see you or at least put you on some antibiotics in case it's an abscessed tooth? You don't want to fool with those...or delay treatment if at all possible.
Hope you can find out what's going on with Shasta and your teeth!!

My civie Theo was prescribed alprazolam (tradename Xanax) for his FLUTD this week. It's used off label as a muscle relaxer. However, it has some nasty side effects. I don't know if it was the dose or what, but he was a bit wobbly and very anxious. Sort of the opposite of calm. I stopped giving it to him today. I guess you've tried the usual Feliway spray and Rescue Remedy for Pets on Shasta?
Nice night for Shasta. Sending you some "it's not really anything wrong" vines for your tooth.
